Studio Review: Salt Lake Power Yoga (Salt Lake City, UT)
I had an early morning flight to Salt Lake City, and started a long layover by 11:00am. Because I started the day early I really wanted to nap, but instead pulled up my ZenRez app to see what studios in the area had some midday classes.
ZenRez is great and I find it’s a nice complement to my Classpass membership and often has offerings in cities where Classpass doesn’t have a presence.
Salt Lake Power Yoga is just a couple blocks from the hotel I was in, so I booked a noon hot yoga class and off I went.
After entering a bright orange door, you’ll find the studio on second floor. The staff was immediately available, welcoming and helpful. Towels, mats, and water were all available, along with various merchandise for purchase in the lobby.
The classroom was big and bright, with large windows facing the mountains-gorgeous and serene!
The class itself was a vinyasa flow, in a heated room, at a pretty good clip. Excellent challenges, with plenty of modifications offered. The instructor was good, but the class seemed a bit like a memorized script. I would have appreciated her demonstrating a few things here and there, or placing herself around the room and joining in the flow when appropriate. But she was great about making manual adjustments and checking on people throughout.
After class, I was pleasantly surprised to find a very well stocked women’s locker room with showers and plenty of supplies to get yourself off to the rest of your day.
I really enjoyed this studio and noticed lots of promotional info for master classes, intro/beginner workshops, etc for events id be interested in making the trek back to the studio for!
